‘Altissimo’ is a vigorous modern climbing rose with an upright growth habit, reaching heights of 10 to 12 feet. Its large, single, bright red blooms are complemented by a mild fragrance. The foliage is dark green and glossy, providing a striking contrast to the vivid flowers. ‘Altissimo’ is noted for its good disease resistance, making it a reliable choice for gardeners. Its impressive size and climbing nature make it ideal for trellises, fences, or walls, adding a bold splash of color to vertical spaces. This rose’s combination of striking blooms and robust performance has earned it the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.
